The client is a US-based software development company that specializes in Network Management software for a range of Fortune 500 and important Public Sector organizations in the world. The company’s network governance solutions optimize network spend and better align IT with business imperatives. The world’s most respected enterprises rely on it to curb hardware over-provisioning, reduce specialized labor, lower the cost of compliance, and improve application availability.
Business Solution
The solution used a PERL development framework called Eclipse to develop the network adapters, the piece of code that connects directly to the network device and parses the different network management data needed by the application to monitor and manage the device.
Work was also done developing BI reports on an open source Yellowfin BI tool used for network analytics information. The development was done for both MSSQL and Oracle RDBMS engines. The work consisted of the extraction of BI information from previously defined datamarts and its consolidation in specific report formats.
